Baby, It’s Cold Outside!

December 13, 2010

Looking for indoor activities to keep you cozy? Maybe afternoon bowling for grade-schoolers, morning story times for the wee ones, evening climbs for just about anyone?

  • Each Monday is After-School Jam at McHenry Bowl. Between 4 and 6pm, and for only $6 including shoe rental, children can participate in the alley’s “Glow Bowling” set to some hoppin’ pop tunes.
  • Stanislaus County Libraries span far and wide, and patrons are invited to take advantage of the many storytelling sessions offered. Wiggle Worms is perfect for those smallest library visitors who are interested in both books and music. Preschool StoryTime is meant for three to six-year olds with the ability to sit and listen to story books and puppet shows.
  • Older children can still get underfoot, and scheduling an activity with emphasis on the “active” is the perfect way to tire them out. Stonehenge, an indoor climbing gym located in downtown Modesto, is this week’s Miss Birdie’s Pick!

Looking for holly jolly indoor activities? We’ve got those, too!
